Culzean Castle and Country Park is the Trust’s most visited
property and one of Scotland’s major tourist attractions.
We created a number of touch screen information points to take
visitors on a ‘hidden tour’. Site specific maps,
photographs and moving images allow the user to establish
the
location of places of interest. In addition, the screens reveal
otherwise inaccessible areas such as the servants’ passageways
in the castle, views of the chimneys from the roof, and
the
caves on the shoreline. A dedicated touch screen provides internet
links to the National Trust website and related organisations
such as the Building Preservations Trust.
