The sheer bulk of the equipment was lessened through the use
of sandstone coloured finishes, sympathetic with the adjacent
buildings. Smaller components were picked out in ScottishPower’s
corporate colours while swathes of purple flowering shrubs and
blonde gravel resurfacing provide natural counterpoints to the
metal machinery.
At night the substation really comes alive, with computer controlled
lighting phasing through deep iridescent colours, emphasising
the corporate palette. |
